What happens to your data when you visit this site. Last updated 2 October 2026.

Some links on this page are affiliate links. If you book through them we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. It does not change which places we recommend. Some links are affiliate links: we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you.

1. Controller and contact

The controller for data processing on this website under Art. 4(7) DSGVO (GDPR) is:

Philipp Schlüter
Grabbestr. 5
33189 Schlangen
Germany
Email: geschaeftlich.schlueter@gmail.com

2. General principles

We process personal data under the DSGVO, the BDSG and the TDDDG. We collect only what is technically needed to show you the site. We do not sell your data. We have no user accounts, no comments, no contact form and no newsletter on this site.

3. Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you open a page, Cloudflare processes your IP address, the requested URL, browser type, referrer and the time of the request. This is needed to deliver the site securely. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) DSGVO, our legitimate interest in a stable and secure site. We rely on a data processing agreement with Cloudflare (Art. 28 DSGVO). Transfers to the USA are covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which Cloudflare is certified (dataprivacyframework.gov). Details: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.

We do not combine this data with other data and we do not use it to build profiles.

4. Fonts

Fonts are served from our own server. Your browser makes no request to Google or another font provider.

5. Affiliate partner script (Travelpayouts)

Some pages carry affiliate links to booking and travel services. To track these, we can load a script from Travelpayouts (domain emrldtp.cc), a service of Travel Payouts. The script can add or change links on the page. When it loads, your browser connects to Travelpayouts, which receives at least your IP address and browser details. The script, or the partner site you click through to, may set cookies or similar identifiers to credit a booking to us.

The script does not load until you press "Accept" in the banner on your first visit. The legal basis is your consent under § 25(1) TDDDG and Art. 6(1)(a) DSGVO. If you press "Decline", or ignore the banner, nothing is loaded and the guide works the same. We store your choice in your browser (local storage, key "pf-consent"). You can change it at any time with "Privacy choice" in the page footer. Declining after you accepted reloads the page without the script.

If you click an affiliate link, you leave this site. The partner (for example Airalo, Yesim, KKday or WeGoTrip) is then responsible for its own data processing under its own privacy policy. We have no control over it.

6. Cookies and analytics

This site sets no cookies of its own. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking tools of our own. Local storage holds only your privacy choice (section 5). Cookies that may come from the affiliate script, if you accept it, or from partner sites after a click are described in section 5.

We use Google Search Console to see how our pages appear in Google search. It reports search visits to us from Google, not from a script on this site. We tell search engines about new or changed pages with the IndexNow protocol. That request contains page addresses only, no data about visitors.

8. Your rights under the DSGVO

  • Access (Art. 15): ask whether and which personal data we process.
  • Rectification (Art. 16): ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure (Art. 17): ask us to delete your data, subject to legal retention duties.
  • Restriction (Art. 18): ask us to restrict processing.
  • Portability (Art. 20): ask for your data in a machine-readable format.
  • Objection (Art. 21): object at any time to processing based on legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent (Art. 7(3)): withdraw any consent at any time. This does not affect processing done before.

To use any of these rights, write to geschaeftlich.schlueter@gmail.com.

9. Right to lodge a complaint

You may complain to a data protection supervisory authority under Art. 77 DSGVO. The authority responsible for us is:

Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen
Kavalleriestr. 2–4
40213 Düsseldorf
Germany
