Short answer: on 2026-10-16 the park’s own price for the standard Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine ticket was 18 euros, and 24 euros for the Full Experience Arena ticket, which adds the arena floor. Tiqets listed the standard entry with an audio guide from 37 euros. Rule: buy the official ticket if you want entry only, and pay a reseller only for a guide you would otherwise book anyway. We read the park’s seven Colosseum ticket-type pages and the Tiqets listing in a browser on 2026-10-16, and took a screenshot of each.
| You want | Official ticket | Euros | Time inside | Valid for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| The Colosseum and the ruins next door | Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine | 18 | 75 minutes | 24 hours |
| The arena floor and the ruins | Only Arena | 18 | 20 minutes | 24 hours |
| The Forum and Palatine only | Forum Pass SUPER | 18 | no timed entry | 1 day |
| The arena floor with time to look around | Full Experience Arena | 24 | 90 minutes | 2 consecutive days |
| The arena, and the underground when availability allows | Full Experience Underground and Arena | 24 | 90 minutes | 2 consecutive days |
| The attic level, in timed groups (8 now, 25 from 9 November 2026; the page lists both) | Full Experience Attic | 24 | 90 minutes | 2 consecutive days |
Which Colosseum ticket should you buy?

- Want the standard visit and nothing else: the 18-euro Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine ticket. It covers the first and second level, the Colosseum Museum, the Roman Forum and the Palatine.
- Want to stand on the arena floor: pick Full Experience Arena or Underground and Arena at 24 euros, or Only Arena at 18 euros if 20 minutes is enough.
- Want the Forum and Palatine only: Forum Pass SUPER at 18 euros.
- Want a guide: the Underground and Arena page lists a 32-euro fare for entry with an educational tour, and Tiqets sells guided tours from 39 euros (see below).
Match the ticket to the floor you want before you compare sellers. We priced six official ticket types: three at 18 euros and three at 24 euros. A seventh, Full Experience Passage of Commodus, printed no price. The Tiqets products below bundle a guide, so they sit well above both levels.
Is Tiqets more expensive than the official site?
Yes, but not like for like. The Tiqets prices include an audio guide or video and the official fares list no audio guide, so each gap is the guide plus whatever else the seller bundles. We cannot split the two.
Entry and arena routes
| Route | Official, full price | Tiqets, “from” | Tiqets extra | Card |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard entry, Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine (Tiqets: with audio guide) | 18 | 37 | 19 | Check price |
| Arena entry, Full Experience Arena (Tiqets: arena, Forum and Palatine with audio guide) | 24 | 54.50 | 30.50 | Check price |
Guided tours
- Colosseum and Roman Forum guided tour: from 39 euros on Tiqets.
- Colosseum, arena and Roman Forum guided tour: from 89 euros on Tiqets. The park’s 32-euro fare for entry with an educational tour is the only official guide fare we found, and we did not read what that tour covers.
Tiqets printed 45 euros struck through for the standard audio-guide entry, with 37 as the price shown. The arena row pairs the Tiqets product with Full Experience Arena. The Tiqets page does not say which official ticket it buys, so the pairing is ours, and its 3-hour visit is not a like-for-like match for a timed ticket of 90 minutes. All three Tiqets product pages we opened said the ticket is nonrefundable. We did not read the refund rules of the official ticket, so we cannot say which side is more flexible.
Which seller fits which trip?
Buy official for a plain visit. Use Tiqets when you want a guide. On 2026-10-16 the Tiqets listing showed the standard audio-guide entry from 20 October and the arena entry from 21 October. We could not read the official shop’s dates, so we cannot say which side has more. Each link below is an affiliate link. The price we read on the listing is on the card.

|---|---|---|---|
| 1 to 24 October 2026 | opens 8:30 | last admission 17:30 | closes 18:30 |
| 25 October 2026 to 28 February 2027 | opens 8:30 | last admission 15:30 | closes 16:30 |
The Roman Forum and Palatine area opens at 9:00, half an hour after the Colosseum. The winter block prints no opening time, so we use the general line from the same page: the Colosseum opens at 8:30.
Individual ticket pages print their own last-access times: Full Experience Arena 3.00 pm, Underground and Arena 4.40 pm, Only Arena 6.00 pm. They do not say which season they apply to, and the Only Arena time is later than the overview’s October last admission, so it may be another season or out of date. Check the time on your own ticket.
- Closed days: 25 December 2026 and 1 January 2027.
- Free admission: the first Sunday of each month, 25 April, 2 June and 4 November, as the official page lists it. The Forum Pass SUPER page says it cannot be used on the first free Sunday.
When can you buy tickets, and what are the entry rules?
These rules come from the park’s overview page and its ticket-type pages.
- Booking window: the park’s overview page says ticket sales with a compulsory entry time open 30 days before the visit. The Full Experience Arena page says its online sale starts 7 days before.
- On the day: the Full Experience Arena page names ticket offices on the day of the visit. We could not read how many slots were left.
- Name and ID: tickets are issued in the holder’s name, and the park asks you to keep an identity document visible with the ticket.
- Arrival: the standard ticket page advises arriving 15 minutes before your booked time.
- Reduced price: 2 euros on each of the six types that print a price, for EU citizens aged 18 until the day of their 25th birthday. The standard ticket page also lists 11.50 euros with a Roma Pass. We did not read what proof the entrance asks for.
Check the rules on your own ticket before you travel, because the park can change them.

- The official shop’s date calendar and sold-out dates. Its page refused our browser as automated.
- Klook, which we did not read.
- Refund rules of the official tickets.
- Queue length on the day, and how long visitors stay beyond the timed visit.

How we made this page
We open the park's own ticket pages and the Tiqets listing in a browser, and take a screenshot of each. Prices are in euros as the pages print them, so no conversion applies. We do not copy seller text, and we have not visited the Colosseum. The official ticket shop refused our browser as automated, so we did not read its date calendar. Klook was not read.
Research and first drafts are AI-assisted. Every figure comes from open data listed on the page with its source and date, and a person reviews each page before it goes live.
