Short answer: on 2026-10-15 KKday listed five Tokyo food tours from EUR 106 to EUR 173 per adult. Per listed hour the cheapest was the vegan tour at EUR 30.29 and the dearest was Shibuya Food Tour at EUR 57.67, counted at the low end of its 3 to 4 hours. Only three of the five let you cancel. Default pick if you have no preference: the night tour in Shinjuku (618471), from EUR 124, free cancel until 2 days before. If you eat vegan or vegetarian, take the vegan tour (621140) at EUR 106. Rule: check the cancel rule first, then the area, then the price, because the two tours at EUR 149.45 and EUR 152.57 cannot be cancelled.

  • We read five KKday product pages in a browser on 2026-10-15 and took a screenshot of each.
  • Prices are the adult price each page showed on 2026-10-15. They may change with the date or package, and the night tour lists a group and a private package.
  • We did not read Klook or any operator’s own site, so this is five KKday listings, not the whole Tokyo market. The full list of what we did not check is at the end.

How much does a Tokyo food tour cost?

The five tours cost EUR 106 to EUR 173 per adult, a gap of EUR 67. Divided by the hours each page lists, that is EUR 30.29 to EUR 57.67 per hour. The two cheapest per hour also list the most hours, 3.5, which spreads the price thinner.

Each link below is an affiliate link. The price we read on the listing is on the card, and what we did not check is listed at the end.

  • The EUR 57.67 for Shibuya Food Tour uses the low end of its 3 to 4 hour range. At the full 4 hours it would be EUR 43.25 per hour.
  • The Shinjuku page says 3 hours in its summary line and 3 hours 30 minutes in its details, and we used the details.

Which area: Shibuya, Shinjuku or Asakusa?

Shibuya has three of the five tours, at EUR 106, EUR 149.45 and EUR 173. Shinjuku is the small evening group, and Asakusa is a daytime walk that includes the Sensoji temple. All five meet at a named spot.

These two cards are affiliate links too. Both tours cannot be cancelled once booked.

Area Tour Meets at What the page lists
Shibuya Street Food Tour (33289) Hachiko wall mural Five food stops and 10 dishes, with a drink and dessert listed. Ends at a basement food hall
Shibuya Shibuya Food Tour (616340) Hachiko statue Four foods and a soft drink at the beef restaurant. Six guests or more turns it private
Shibuya Vegan and organic (621140) In front of the Shibuya Tsutaya shop, in the building with the Starbucks Be there 10 minutes early: a late guest cannot join and is not refunded
Shinjuku Night food tour (618471) Black pillar next to the Uniqlo Shinjuku Nishiguchi shop A sushi restaurant, a grill where you cook wagyu beef yourself, a walk through Kabukicho and a last stop at a bar or snack place. Be there 15 minutes early
Asakusa Family tour (33288) Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center Five food stops and a seasonal lunch, with a visit to the Sensoji temple. The page lists the end at 14:00

Is there a vegetarian or vegan food tour in Tokyo?

Yes, on this list one: the vegan and organic tour (621140) at EUR 106. Its page says the tour is open to vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free guests and offers four menu options. It also carries an allergen warning, because the food comes from kitchens the operator does not run.

The four menu options on the page are a seafood sushi set, a gluten-free seafood sushi set, a gluten-free vegan sushi set and a vegetarian sushi set. We did not read a separate price for each option. The night tour in Shinjuku carries the same kind of allergen warning, so a strict diet needs a message to the operator before you book.

This card is an affiliate link too.

Can kids join a Tokyo food tour?

Yes, on all five, with different age bands. The two non-cancellable tours print a child price: EUR 74.73 for Street Food Tour and EUR 76.28 for the Asakusa family tour, both for ages 3 to 12. Children under 3 are free on those two, with no seat reserved.

Tour Adults aged Child ages Notes from the page
Night tour in Shinjuku (618471) 16 4 to 15 Infants sit on a lap. Some stops are not reachable with a wheelchair or stroller
Vegan and organic (621140) 16 4 to 15 Guests must be over 20 to drink alcohol
Shibuya Food Tour (616340) 11 5 to 10 Free for ages 0 to 5, and the page also lists age 5 as a child, so ask before booking a 5-year-old. Guests must be over 20 to drink alcohol

The child price field showed a dash on the night, vegan and Shibuya Food Tour pages, so we did not read their child prices.

Can you cancel a Tokyo food tour, and how big is the group?

Three of the five can be cancelled for free: the vegan and the night tour up to 2 days before, Shibuya Food Tour up to 4 days before. The other two, Street Food Tour and the Asakusa family tour, cannot be cancelled, changed or refunded once booked. Only the night tour states a group maximum, at 6, and Shibuya Food Tour turns private at 6 or more.

The pages count cancellation deadlines on the supplier’s local time and say a refund takes days to process. If your plans can still move, take one of the three; if you book one of the two that cannot be cancelled, check the date twice.

What this page could not check

This is a read of five listings on one day, so it has gaps. Here is what we left out.

  • Klook and operator sites. We did not read them, so other Tokyo food tours exist that are not here.
  • Which package carries the “from” price on the night tour, which also lists a private tour, and the price of each menu option on the vegan tour.
  • Whether a tour sells out, how good the food is, and what each stop serves. The calendars show dates, not seats left.
  • Izakaya, sushi-only and market tours. We read none of them.
  • Price changes after 2026-10-15.

How we made this page

We open each KKday product page in a browser with the page set to euros, read the price, hours, start times, group size, age bands and cancellation terms, and take a screenshot of each. EUR per hour is the adult price divided by the listed hours. We do not copy seller text, we have not joined any of these tours, and we have not eaten at their stops.

Research and first drafts are AI-assisted. Every figure comes from open data listed on the page with its source and date, and a person reviews each page before it goes live.
